Hello, I'm Olivia Noh, a freshman attending the International School of Beijing. I am honored to serve as your President Chair of the General Assembly at CANMUN IV. This is my first and a half year in Model United Nations, with this CANMUN being my twelfth conference and fourth time chairing.

The topic we will be focusing on is "Addressing the Refugee Crisis in Europe." I hope the committee can bring fruitful debate on this pressing issue.
Starting my first MUN conference in 8th grade, I have been enthusiastically committed to it since then. I am thrilled to be a part of the student officer team of CANMUN, and I hope all delegates learn a lot from this conference and truly enjoy and cherish this experience.

My name is Donghyun Ku, a grade 9 student in Canadian International School of Beijing. I am happy to serve my roll as a Deputy President of the General Assembly in CANMUN IV.
Just about a year ago, I was at my first MUN conference. I felt nervous and scared trying to speak in front of many strangers. But as time passed, I started making some speeches, which helped me improve and gave me confidence to make more speeches. The point is, MUN can be hard and overwhelming. But don’t be scared, as there is always a chance to make a speech and improve.
Finally, remember this. MUN is a place not only for debating and making amendments. It’s a place where you interact and socialize with people. So don’t be scared, step up, and make some speeches. I look forward to meet you all and have fun!

My name is Franzi Müller, and I’m a year 12 student at the British School of Beijing Shunyi. I am honoured to have the opportunity to be deputy president of the General Assembly.
This is my first time being a chair and I will try my best to fulfil this role.
Don’t be nervous to show your ability be it through POI‘s , speeches or amendments. Every contribute you give will be seen. No matter if it’s your first MUN or your fifth, I hope CANMUN IV becomes a meaningful part of your journey.
