CANMUN V
Meet Your Chairs
FRANK SU
Deputy President
Hello delegates, my name is Frank Su and I am currently an eighth grader at the International School of Beijing. I have been a part of MUN for two years now and this conference will mark my last conference of the year. I am honored to serve as your deputy president for the Economic and Social Council at this year’s CANMUN IV, with it being my 9th conference and second time chairing.
We will be focusing on the topic of “Discussing the Threat of Urbanization to Rural Areas in Developing Countries,” an issue that is only becoming more devastating as time passes.
Aside from diplomacy, however, I would like to remind delegates that this conference will be a great chance to research in depth, understand more about our world, and make new friends. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of the other chairs or me via email at frank.su@student.isb.bj.edu.cn. Good luck with resolution drafting and research, and see you all in June!

ELIN KIM
President
Hello! I am Elin Kim, a freshman at the International School of Beijing. It is my great honor to serve as the president of the Economic and Social Council of CANMUN IV. Throughout my 4-year experience in MUN, I have been both a delegate and a student officer and gained a deep understanding of the debate procedures and the depth of debates in MUN. I will ensure all our conversations in our committee could be fruitful and something that could be removed from this conversation.

ALISA KRYLOVA
Deputy President
Hi Everyone,
I am Alisa, a sophomore at the Canadian International School of Beijing and I am honored to serve as your deputy president for the Economic and Social Council. During my two-year MUN journey, I have attended 6 conferences, both local and outside Beijing, which have given me a great appreciation and understanding of the MUN procedure and many new friends. I aim to ensure that this conference runs smoothly and that you take away something meaningful from this conference. Know your country stances, prepare meaningful speeches and ammendments and I hope you have a fruitful debate and a fun time.
See you!
